Oakland Gets Ready For Warriors-Cavs Game 6 Viewing Party; Hopes For Victory Parade

Stephen Curry and the Warriors are on the verge of winning the NBA title and that means Oakland is planning a parade.

If the Warriors win or lose, Oakland has to be ready.

Although Game 6 takes place in Cleveland, expect Warriors ground to be just as electric Tuesday .The Oracle viewing party's sold out: a handlful of re-sale tickets are going for as much as $800, just to watch the game on the big screen.

Dozens of other viewing parties will be held all across the Bay Area.

Kevin Best of Era Art Bar and Lounge in Oakland says he is ready. “We are pulling out all the stops. There will be rows and rows and rows of seats. The large screen comes down,” Best said.

Era Art Bar has has sold out more than 200 reserved seats for Tuesday’s watch party.

If the Warriors win, Oakland police will be there for the best and worst of a celebration.

Every officer will be on duty.

"We certainly will be out there and we certainly will take enforcement action if anyone participates in criminal activity,” said Officer Johnna Watson of the Oakland Police Department. "There will be a lot of officers throughout the City of Oakland."

The folks at Visit Oakland, the city's tourism bureau, say the mood's never been more exciting in the East Bay. “If and when we win there will be some celebration and the Warriors will let us know when and where and I'm sure hundreds of thousands of people will be there,” they said.

Jack London Square's new restaurant and bar "Plank" is expecting a full house tomorrow. The folks there say the restaurant and entertainment center will be just as hopping as Oracle Arena.
