OPD: Juveniles Flee Shooting, Innocent Bystander Killed in Car

Oakland police arrested two juveniles on vehicular manslaughter charges after they say the suspects killed a man in his black Subaru station wagon after they left a shooting scene less than two miles away.

The Oakland Tribune reported the man was 75 and the juveniles were 17 years old.

Not much was immediately know about the older man who died in the car, other than he was killed Monday about 11 p.m. at the intersection of Church Street and Bancroft Avenue near a Taco Bell.

The red suspect vehicle crashed into his station wagon, which flipped over near Eastmont Mall.

Police on patrol pieced together that the innocent man's car was struck by the red SUV (pictured below) that was allegedly involved in a shooting at 82nd Avenue and Rusdale Street about an hour earlier at 10 p.m.

There were no injuries reported from that scene.
