Oakland Shootings Leave One Dead, Two Injured

The two shootings occurred on the 1100 block of 32nd Street and the 700 block od 25th Street.

One man is dead and two others are recovering after two shootings in Oakland Saturday evening, police said.

Police responded to a report of a shooting near San Pablo Avenue in the 1100 block of 32nd Street at 6:09 p.m.and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both men, whose identities were not yet released, were transported to a hospital. One was pronounced dead and the other was in critical but stable condition as of this morning.

Police are investigating the shooting and searching for two armed suspects in connection with the incident.

Earlier in the evening, police had also responded to a report of a shooting in the 700 block of 25th Street at 4:38 p.m., police said.

Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound and transported him to a hospital, Moore said. He is in stable condition.

The suspect in the shooting remains at large.

There is no word yet on whether shootings are related.
