Plans for teaching technology, leadership and entrepreneurship to black South African youth this fall will be unveiled by Bay Area teens Thursday evening in Oakland.

Bay Area youth will gather from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Frank Ogawa Plaza for an annual end-of-summer celebration.

They will celebrate a successful trip they took last year to the United Kingdom where they took the same training program called The Hidden Genius Project.

Bay Area youth on Thursday will lead presentations on website and app designs and reflect on their journey. The event is free and open to the community.
