An Oakland Victorian home burned Wednesday morning, the second time this year, and firefighters suspect that squatters are to blame.
A 2-alarm fire was called shortly after the fire was reported at 7:!5 a.m. at the vacant three-story home at 7th and Harrison streets. In the early stages of the fire, crews were unable to go in to see if anyone was inside.
Crews told NBC Bay Area that the fire looked suspicious because the home was not hooked up to any utilities.
Firefighters said this home also suffered fire damage in January.
