Obama in SF For $35,800/Person Fundraiser

Barack and Michelle Obama are coming to San Francisco next month.

President Barack Obama and his campaign team may soon have a nickname for San Francisco and the greater Bay Area: Barry's ATM.

The President and First Lady Michelle Obama plan to visit San Francisco on February 16 for a gala fundraiser, as first reported by SFist.

Tickets to see the president at the reception will run $100. To dine with the president is a bit more -- about $35,800, according to reports.

Word is that the fundraising dinner will be at the 13,800-square foot Pacific Heights mansion of an Oracle heiress and her author husband. The home even has a basketball court, according to no less an authority than former Mayor Willie Brown.

The president hit-up the Bay Area for cash multiple times in recent memory, tapping Silicon Valley capital as well as luncheon crowds in San Francisco.
