Obama Sets Date for Next Bay Area Visit

Pres. Barack Obama will be making his seventh trip to the Bay Area later this month.

Mr. Obama has scheduled a quick visit on Sunday, Sept. 25.

The White House did not release specific details of his Bay Area agenda other than to say it would be part of a three-day swing through the West.

The Chronicle says the trip will include two Silicon Valley fundraisers including an evening reception that will cost a minimum of $2,500 and night cap dinner at a private home that will cost $38,000 per person.

After he cashes in on the Silicon Valley ATM, the president will fly to San Diego the following day for a fundraising luncheon followed by a fundraising dinner in L.A. Monday night Sept. 26.

The last time the president was in town was in April when he held a town hall-type meeting at Facebook.

He was also here in February. That's when he hosted an exclusive dinner with some of Silicon Valley's top CEOs including Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs and Larry Ellison.
