One Injured in Vallejo House Fire

One person was hurt in an early Thursday morning house fire in Vallejo.

The fire started just after 4 a.m. near the intersection of Locust Drive and Tennessee Street, about a half-mile east of Interstate Highway 80.

Crews say when they arrived, they found fire coming from the garage and the front door of the home.

“They [crews] made an aggressive interior attack and were able to keep the fire to only about half the structure,” said Vallejo Fire Capt. Arthur Gonzales.

One person was inside at the time, but made it out with minor burns. The victim was taken to the hospital with minor burns, but should be okay.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
