Overenrollment Concerns at Palo Alto School

A meeting is scheduled  Thursday evening so neighbors can voice their concerns regarding a private, all-girls school in Palo Alto that exceeded its enrollment cap.

Castilleja School is expected to submit a report to the city on Thursday about its conditional use permit issued in 2000 that limited enrollment to no more than 415 students, according to the Palo Alto Daily News.

The school acknowledged on Wednesday they had exceeded their cap by 33 students.

Residents living near the school say parking and traffic stipulations outlined in the permit have largely been disregarded.

The meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. in the dining room of Castilleja School, 1310 Bryant Street.
