PG&E has restored service to most customers who lost service in Thursday's storm in the Bay Area, the company announced late Friday.

Of the 236,070 Bay Area customers who lost power in the rain and windstorm, 1,070 were without service as of 8:45 p.m. today, according to data provided by PG&E.

In San Francisco, 40 customers were without service. In the East Bay that number is 385. On the peninsula, 355 customers are without service.

About 60 customers in the North Bay and 230 in the South Bay are without service.

More than 500,000 people lost power across PG&E's entire Northern California service area, but power has been restored to 98 percent of them.
