Rapper known for driving ability is charged with rape, assault.

A Bay Area rapper with "exceptional driving skills," as well as close ties to Mac Dre and the Bay Area hyphy movement, will stand trial for the 2012 "brutal beating" of a Vacaville woman, according to reports.

Steven N. Davison, 38 -- who is known as "PSD the Drivah," for his notable abilities when behind the wheel -- is accused of beating and sexually assualting a woman who he invited to spend the night with him in a Vacaville apartment on July 2, 2012, according to the Vacaville Reporter.

After the woman escaped when Davison was allegedly fetching a knife from the kitchen, he then led police on a car chase -- after which he managed to elude police because of "safety concerns," the newspaper reported.

He remains in custody in lieu of $750,000 on a slew of felony charges, including: rape, torture, a lewd act, assault, and battery.

His rap career spans from the late 1990s to 2011, according to his Wikipedia entry.

As of 2008, he was known around the Bay Area as a drug dealer, according to some Web sites.
