Palo Alto Police Release Video of Suspect Who Groped Woman

Police released brief video footage Wednesday of a suspect who jumped out of his car in Palo Alto and aggressively groped a woman last week.

The sexual battery happened at 9:03 p.m. on June 24 in the 1200 block of University Avenue. The suspect was driving east on University when he stopped his car at Marlowe Street and exited.

He approached a woman in her 20s from behind and grabbed her breasts, buttocks and groin, then was chased away from the victim back to his vehicle. He fled the area west on University, police said.

Police said the suspect is a Hispanic or Polynesian man between 23 to 30 years old who is about 5 feet 4 inches tall and 170 pounds.

He was wearing a T-shirt, cargo shorts and a hat, and driving a newer-model Audi A4 car with no tint on the windows and a California license plate.

Anyone with information about the sexual battery is asked to call police dispatch at (650) 329-2413.
