San Francisco Bar Has License Suspended For Allegedly Dealing Cocaine, Marijuana

Polk Street bar has liquor license suspended for 30 days for cocaine, marijuana.

A bar on Polk Street in San Francisco has had its liquor license suspended for 30 days for allegedly dealing cocaine and marijuana to an undercover liquor control officer, according to reports.

After receiving complaints of drug dealing from neighbors, the state Alcoholic Beverage Control suspended the liquor license of Playland at 1351 Polk Street for 30 days beginning Feb. 3, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

The suspension came after an undercover investigation.

A similar undercover investigation revealed drug dealing at Gestalt in the Mission District as well, the newspaper reported. That case resulted in criminal charges. It's not yet clear if any charges are pending in the Playland case.

The bar is claiming on social media to be closed for "renovations," Eater SF noted.
