Pleasanton Teen Pitches Rare Perfect Game

You can be sure one 13-year-old baseball player from Pleasanton is still riding high Thursday morning, fresh off pitching a very rare perfect game.

Evan Wolfe’s five perfect innings Tuesday night led his team, the Pleasanton National, to victory over a team from Michigan – 12- 0 - during the Intermediate Little League World Series.

The game was finally called because of the “mercy rule.”

The games run through Aug. 5 at Max Baer Park in Livermore.
