It's never too early to think about Christmas carols and winter wonderlands, especially if you reside in Santa Cruz this holiday season.
For the very first time, holiday enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the magical world of the North Pole by hopping aboard "The Polar Express Train Ride" departing directly from the beach city, according to the event's website.
Just like the famous holiday book and subsequent 2004 feature film, families will be treated to a train ride stocked full with dancing elves, warm cookies, hot chocolate and, of course, Santa Claus.
With a priceless golden ticket in hand, lucky children will be able to pull away from the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk station beginning Nov. 18.
