1 Dead, 1 Hurt in Fairfield Gas Station Shooting; Injured Suspect Arrested

One person died and another suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting at a gas station in Fairfield late Sunday night, according to police.

The shooting occurred just before midnight at the ARCO gas station located along the 2300 block of N. Texas Street, police said.

A third person suspected of being involved in the shooting walked into a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to police. The person, who was identified as 22-year-old Souljah Corbin of Fairfield, was arrested and booked on murder and attempted murder charges.

Authorities are still investigating the shooting. They do not believe the shooting was a random act.
