Police Investigate Triple Shooting in Fairfield

Three men were shot late Tuesday afternoon in Fairfield, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to an address in the 200 block of Santa Barbara Way at 4:57 p.m. on report of shots fired.

On arrival they found an 18-year-old man and a 29-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to a hospital and are in stable condition, according to police.

Shortly after that a third victim, a 23-year-old man, arrived at a hospital suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He's listed in critical condition, according to police.

It's unclear whether or not the 23-year-old was wounded in the shooting on Santa Barbara Way, according to police.

All three victims are residents of Fairfield, police said.

Investigators determined that some kind of disturbance between two groups had escalated into a shooting, and many rounds had been fired. The case remains under investigation, however, and further details were not immediately available.

Anyone with additional information about the shooting is asked to contact the major crimes unit at 707-428-7600 or the 24-hour tip line at 707-428-7345.
