    Police are investigating a fatal shooting reported late Thursday in Richmond.

    Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West Macdonald Avenue around 6 p.m. after a ShotSpotter system detected gunfire in the area.

    On arrival they found a young male victim with multiple gunshots to the upper torso. He was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.

    The victim is being identified only as a young black male who was on foot at the time of the shooting.

    The suspect remains at large tonight, according to police, and detectives are investigating the homicide.
