    San Jose police late Wednesday said they are investigating a homicide.

    Officers just after 8:40 p.m. responded to the Regional Medical Center, located at 225 N. Jackson Ave., for a report of a person shot. The victim was later pronounced deceased at the hospital, according to police

    Police late Wednesday said they were still trying to locate the crime scene.

    No suspects have been identified or apprehended, police said. The victim's identity was not being released by police late Wednesday. An investigation is ongoing.

    The incident is San Jose's 39th homicide this year.

    No other information was immediately available.
