A man died Friday morning in Atherton after police say a hit-and-run driver struck him at Glenwood Avenue near Middlefield Road.
Lt. Joe Wade said police were called at about 5:45 a.m. that there was a body lying on the side of the road all by himself. Since no one stayed at the scene, Wade said this is now being considered a hit-and-run, and they have no information on the suspect vehicle.
Police are now looking for any sort of description for that car.
UPDATE: The coroner has released the name of the 60-year-old man killed in the hit-and-run.
Investigators said 60-year-old Jeffry Zeman, of Redwood City, was hit by a driver who tried to cover up the crime by dragging his body away from the original site of the crash.
