Police Searching for Man Who Opened Fire Inside Pleasanton Restaurant

Pleasanton police are searching for a man they say opened fire inside a pub, injuring one person who did not even know he was shot.

Police said the shooting happened just before 1 a.m. Sunday morning at the Red Coats British Pub & Restaurant on St. Mary Street.

Witnesses said the suspect was acting strangely before the shooting.

"A few moments before he actually fired the weapon, he was seen pacing in the area, and then, he drew the handgun and shot it about six to eight times," Lt. Scott Rohovit of Pleasanton Police said.

One bullet hit a man but police said he did not know he was injured until his friend told him he was bleeding. The victim was treated at a local hospital for a non-life threatening wound.

Officers said the suspect fled before they arrived.
