A shooting late Friday left one man dead, according to San Jose police.
At about 10:43 p.m., officers — responding to a report of a shooting — arrived near Capitol Expressway and Tully Road where they discovered an adult man who had sustained at least one gunshot wound, police said.
The man died at the scene shortly thereafter, police said. This marks the city's 10th homicide in the past six weeks.
The San Jose Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating the crime. However, the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unknown.
A still unidentified suspect has not been located and is at large, police said. The victim's identity will not be released until his next of kin have been notified.
Further details were not immediately available.
