SF Police Coax Man Out of Ingleside Apartment After Nearly 19-Hour Standoff

A San Francisco police standoff that took place for nearly 19 hours ended Wednesday afternoon when officers took the suspect in custody.

Officers responded at 8:16 p.m. Tuesday to the 200 block of Schwerin Street, in the city's Ingleside District, in response to a family dispute after the suspect made threats against the victim during a verbal altercation, police said.

The suspect went into his apartment and refused to come out and speak with responding officers, police said.

The victim was not injured during the incident and the suspect was taken into custody at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
