Possible Weapon Used in Oikos Shooting Found

OPD tipped off to gun found in Oakland trashcan.

UPDATE: After a search, police found no gun.

The Oakland PD says they have recieved a tip from a recycler that there may be a firearm in the trash can near Edewater Rd and Hegenberger Rd in Oakland.

Officers are on the scene to dermine if the firearm is the one used in the shooting on Monday at Oikos University.

A nursing student expelled from a small Christian university and upset about being teased over his poor English skills opened fire at the school, going from room to room in a rampage that left six students and a secretary dead, police said Tuesday.

One L. Goh, 43, forced the secretary into a classroom at Oikos University in Oakland on Monday, told people to line up and, when some didn't cooperate, began his shooting spree, police Chief Howard Jordan said.
