Pregnant Woman Attacked on BART

Immafrancia Hutalla was beat and robbed

A pregnant woman was beaten up and robbed while she was travelling on BART on June 24.

Immafrancia Hutalla, 26, was attacked by two people while she was riding BART to Concord.

"You need to protect yourself. People will be there. They see you're in a public area. They see you, but they wouldn't get your back. They're just going to watch you until that person kills you or something,"

Hutalla told KGO

According to BART Spokesperson Jim Allison, Hutalla's claims that passengers did not try to help her are not true.

"Someone did call into the Bart Police and that is how they were arrested," Allison said.

The suspects were arrested when the BART pulled into the Pittsburg/Bay Point Station, according to Allison.

BART Police did not respond to calls.
