Preservationists: Willow Glen Trestle Bridge Restoration Would Cost Less Than Replacement

Designs to replace a historic bridge in the South Bay were set to be presented Wednesdays night at the Willow Glen Neighborhood Association meeting.

Preservations want to keep the historic Willow Glen trestle bridge, saying it would cost less than destroying the old bridge and building a new one.

The San Jose City Council says they want to demolish the bridge before October 2014 so they won't lose a grant.

The meeting takes place Wednesdays night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Willow Glen Community Center on Lincoln Avenue.
