Prince Selects KBLX DJ Pam The Funkstress for Tour

The Bay Area's Turntable Queen is going on tour with the Purple One.

After spinning at Prince's two recent Bay Area concert after parties, KBLX afternoon mix DJ Pam The Funkstress has been selected by the man himself to join him on tour.

The DJ, born Pam Warren, was first booked to play at Prince's February 28 after party at 1015 in San Francisco following his two performances at Oakland's Paramount Theatre.

Then, after Prince announced he would play at Oakland's Oracle Arena on March 4, representatives for the artist formerly known as The Artist tracked Warren down and booked her to DJ at an after party at San Francisco's Great American Music Hall.

It seems as though Prince couldn't get enough of Warren's soulful musical selection and deep technical skills — she can even scratch records with her breasts. A few days later, she was asked to join his upcoming Piano and a Microphone Tour, dates for which have yet to be announced.

She's already hit the road.
