Raiders Eying a Replacement for Asomugha

The Oakland Raiders appear serious about moving on from Nnamdi Asomugha.

The All-Pro cornernback is expected to be one of the biggest prizes once the NFL free agency period starts.

Raiders' owner Al Davis has indicated that the team needs to move on and use the salary that it would take to bring Asomugha in other places.

The Raiders will get an up close and personal look at one potential replacement for Asomugha before this month's draft.

South Carolina cornerback-safety Chris Culliver has scheduled a private workout with Oakland, according to a report by the National Football Post.

The 6-foot, 200-pound cornerback would fit one of the Raiders' biggest interests: He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.36 seconds at the NFL scouting combine.

Culliver is believed to be a third-round prospect.
