Rain Moving in To Bay Area Late Saturday

The weather is about to take a turn for the worse in the Bay Area

Our mild 60s with sunshine enjoyed on Friday won't be around to start the weekend.

Increasing clouds and breezy conditions are expected during the day with some rain returning to the Bay Area.

Highs will be mainly in the upper 40s to mid 50s with rain increasing around mid-afternoon.

Rain should quickly change to showers as we move into Sunday as the system quickly clears the Bay Area.

Some scattered showers will be possible into Sunday mainly across the South Bay and East Bay hills then trending dry by mid-afternoon and evening. We should see dry weather return as high pressure rebuilds to begin the work week.

Things will turn interesting by midweek as a strong trough drops in from the north/northwest which will increase wind speeds and give us a chance for more rain/showers later on Wednesday.

Depending on how far inland this weather system is, we could see very little rain and mostly wind or some moderate rain at times Wednesday into early Thursday.

Much cooler air will spill in behind this system which will again mean frosty/icy mornings and cool afternoons will return late in the week and approaching next weekend as high pressure rebuilds yet again.

Hope you enjoy your Saturday!
