Rare Bay Area Rain in August

It may not be what you expect given California is in one of the three driest months of the year, but the Bay Area was hit Tuesday with a bit of rain around the North and East Bay.

Scattered showers will continue dropping in from the north moving to the south andsoutheast across the Bay Area through Wednesday morning.

Rain totals should stay mainly below the .10-inch range, but still significant given the time of year.

Temperatures will be mainly in the 60s and 70s with valleys in the East Bay and South Bay, especially south of San Jose climbing into the mid and upper 80s. As skies clear later on Wednesday, Silicon Valley temps should climb closer to seasonal averages 80s-low 90s to wrap up the week.
