Reddit to Move Into Larger, More Affordable Space in SF's Tenderloin District: Report

Tech company Reddit is moving to the more affordable Tenderloin district of San Francisco, near Union Square and down the road from Twitter and Uber, according to a report from the San Francisco Business Times.

The social news website is leasing the entire building at 420 Taylor St., about 50,000 square feet. The company will pay $64 per square foot in the less expensive Tenderloin, the report said. Reddit’s current headquarters are at 520 Third St. in the South of Market district of San Francisco.

The space is appealing to Reddit because as a single-tenant occupier, the company will have its name on the building, access to a roof deck and nearby public transit stations, the report said.
