    No, it's Iowa.

Facebook is busy building a huge data center in Altoona, Iowa, according to reports. How big? 1.4 million square feet in space and $1.5 billion in worth, according to The Des Moines Register.

The new Midwestern data center will complement the company's existing 300,000 square foot data center in Prineville, Oregon, according to Venture Beat. Facebook's bid to build a new huge depository for photos, likes and links was leaked to the press by anonymous "lawmakers," the Web site reported.

Facebook has existing data centers in Lulea, Sweden, and in Forest City, North Carolina -- but the Swedish center is only 62,000 square feet, VentureBeat reported.

Facebook will build the data center in two $500 million stages, VentureBeat reported. The other Midwest state in competition for the data center was Nebraska.
