Robbery Suspects Arrested After Crashing Into Oakland Pot Dispensary

Three suspects believed to be responsible for a series of robberies in multiple East Bay jurisdictions were arrested after their car crashed into a marijuana dispensary in East Oakland on Thursday afternoon, an Alameda County sheriff's spokesman said.

Deputies in the sheriff's special duty unit spotted the suspect's car in Hayward at about 2:30 p.m. and chased it into Oakland, Sgt. Ray Kelly said.

The suspects' car first collided with another car and then crashed into a marijuana dispensary at the corner of International Boulevard and Seminary Avenue, according to Kelly.

An employee was inside the marijuana dispensary at the time but Kelly said "miraculously he wasn't injured or killed."

The deputies then arrested the three suspects, who didn't suffer any significant injuries, Kelly said.

The person whose car was struck by the suspects' car wasn't injured but the person's car sustained significant damage, according to Kelly.

The deputies were looking for the robbery suspects because an alert had been issued for them, Kelly said.
