Robocalls Could Make Their Way to Cellphones

Those annoying automated calls from companies could be making their way to your cellphone.

Using robocalls to contact cell phones is illegal without a person's permission, but now banks want that law changed. The American Bankers Association petitioned the FCC to legalize robocalls, saying they help alert customers to possible fraud or identity theft.

Consumer groups against the move said it invades privacy and costs money by using customer's minutes.

No word when the FCC will announce their decision.
