SF Firefighters Battle Blaze in Pacific Heights

San Francisco firefighters battled a three-alarm blaze at an apartment building in Pacific Heights, where an elderly pair of siblings were having breakfast and initially unaware of the smoke and flames.

Firefighters said that luckily, neighbors alerted the sister, in her 90s, and her brother, in his 80s, and got them out of the building - along with their two dogs - at  at 2008 Valencia Street just before 11 a.m.

The fire was contained by noon with 150 firefighters who worked hard in windy conditions.

Exactly what started the blaze wasn't immediately known.
