San Franciscans are getting excited about something that doesn't usually get much attention.
After it has flushed down the toilet, that is.
A growing buzz about San Francisco's sewer system is the product of an Internet and old-school advertising campaign that has such unstoppable slogans as "Your #2 is Our #1," according to the Atlantic Cities, which is catching the fever.
The $65,000 advertising campaign is also strategically timed: much of the infrastructure that disposes of 80 million gallons of waste a day is due for replacement.
The campaign is intended to get San Francisco residents thinking about where their poop goes -- and to take pride in, say, the wastewater treatment plant next door, according to the website.
