SF Standoff in Visitacion Valley Ends Peacefully

A standoff in San Francisco’s Visitacion ended peacefully Thursday morning when a man surrendered after a domestic violence call.

A SWAT team had set up early in the 100 block Ward Street  near U.S. Highway 101. The man, police said,  had been involved in a domestic violence incident in which he allegedly fired shots in the 400 block of London Street between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. Wednesday, according to Police Sgt. Danielle Newman.

He was taken into custody before 8 a.m., after holing up inside the home with his two children, 11 and 14, who were not hurt when the standoff ended.
