SFO Eateries Close As 1,000 Workers Strike

In addition to the rain, there's a hunger storm brewing at San Francisco International Airport.

Restaurant workers at the Bay Area's busiest air travel hub have called a two-day strike, according to reports.

The San Francisco Chronicle notes that 1,000 union restaurant workers, who have not had a contract for a year, are off of the job until Friday.

Stores at the airport as well as about 80 percent of restaurants are unaffected.

Jesse Johnson, a bartender at the Buena Vista Cafe, said that they're on strike because "it is so difficult for our families to make ends meet in the Bay Area."
