There’s a new timetable for just how soon San Jose police officers will test, and then wear, body cameras and drones.
The Mercury News reports a memo sent by the department to San Jose’s city council indicates testing on officer-worn cameras will begin in September with a dozen officers.
The department wants to outfit the entire department by next year. The same memo reportedly indicates San Jose police won’t begin launching its drone until 2017 at the earliest.
