Sacramento Police Searching for Sisters Who May Have Been Kidnapped

    Sacramento police and the CHP are searching for sisters Yurisel Munoz-Velasco, 6, and Yaretzi Munoz-Velasco, 9, who may have been kidnapped by their non-custodial mother.

    Sacramento police are searching for two young sisters who may have been kidnapped by one of their parents.

    The two girls are identified as Yurisel and Yaretzi Munoz-Velasco. Yurisel is 6 years old and her sister, Yaritzi, is 9 years old.

    Investigators said the sisters were reported missing around 3 p.m. Tuesday when they did not return home from school.

    Police believe the sisters may be with their non-custodial mother, Sanjuana Munoz-Vasquez, who may be trying to take the children to Mexico.

    Sacramento police and the CHP are searching for Sanjuana Munoz-Vasquez in connection to a possible kidnapping.

    The 43-year-old woman was last seen driving a white 2003 Honda Civic, with California license plate 5CQE005.

    Anyone with information on the children, the suspect or the vehicle is asked to call the CHP or the Sacramento Police Department at 916-254-5471.
