Sacramento police are searching for two young sisters who may have been kidnapped by one of their parents.
The two girls are identified as Yurisel and Yaretzi Munoz-Velasco. Yurisel is 6 years old and her sister, Yaritzi, is 9 years old.
Investigators said the sisters were reported missing around 3 p.m. Tuesday when they did not return home from school.
Police believe the sisters may be with their non-custodial mother, Sanjuana Munoz-Vasquez, who may be trying to take the children to Mexico.
The 43-year-old woman was last seen driving a white 2003 Honda Civic, with California license plate 5CQE005.
