San Francisco District Attorney's Office Provides Aid Dog for Victims, Witnesses

The San Francisco District Attorney's Office is turning to an aid dog to help keep witnesses and victims of crimes calm and composed during depositions, interviews, and trials, according to the New York Daily News.

"Faber," a Golden Retriever, recently joined the DA's office and is one of 40 dogs across the country being used as pet therapy by prosecutors to keep victims, "often children," at ease during stressful situations, the newspaper reported.

Being calm allows victims to remember what happened, which in turn leads to better testimony, the newspaper reported.
