Flex those muscles and flaunt those fitness feats, San Francisco residents.

The city by the bay has been dubbed as the nation's healthiest city to live in this year, according to a WalletHub report released Monday. Seattle checked in at No. 2 on the list followed by San Diego, Portland and Washington D.C., respectively.

Not to be outdone, Fremont (No. 18), San Jose (No. 21), Oakland (No. 34) and Santa Rosa (No. 41) were ranked near the top of the list.

WalletHub took a look at more than 170 of the most populated cities across the country and analyzed them across 42 factors — medical visit costs, the amount of running and walking trails in a city, the number of healthy restaurants per capita and others — when putting together its rankings report.

Taking a closer look at those factors, San Francisco beat out all other cities for having the most walking trails per capita, tied for first for having the most running trails per capita, finished in fourth for having the most healthy restaurants per capita and tied for fourth for having the lowest percentage of adults not eating enough fruits and vegetables per day, according to the report.

San Jose grabbed the third place slot when it came to having the lowest percentage of adults not eating enough fruits and veggies per day, the report stated. Oakland and Fremont finished in a tie for fourth place.

San Jose also featured the lowest premature death rate, according to the report.
