A San Francisco man was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to pointing a loaded gun at a postal worker.
Herman Murillo, 35, of San Francisco, admitted to pointing a loaded pistol at a U.S. Postal Service letter carrier delivering mail in his neighborhood on January 14, according to a news release from U.S. attorney David Anderson.
Murillo was charged on March 19 with one count of being a felon in possession of ammunition and one count of assaulting a federal employee.
He was sentenced to 63 months in prison with a three-year period of supervised release, according to Anderson's office.
