San Francisco Police Investigate Shooting, Attempted Homicide

San Francisco police are asking for the public's help in their investigation of an attempted homicide Sunday morning.

Around 10:15 a.m., a man in his 30s was walking near Polk and Ellis streets with his wife.

According to a police spokesperson, the couple heard a group of people shouting, and they heard a gunshot.

Moments later, the man realized that he had been shot in the leg.

The injury does not appear to be life threatening, the spokesperson said.

The victim involved in the shooting and his wife appear to be tourists from Boston.

One suspect, a female, was detained in connection with the shooting, but she was released and is not facing any charges pending further investigation.
