A daughter is "devastated" over a burglary, police said.

That's because the burglar not only stole several items from her Potrero Hill home in San Francisco on Feb. 24, said San Francisco police officer Albie Esparza. But it's because the intruder also took an urn with her mother's ashes.

"The victim is devastated over the loss of the urn containing her deceased mother's ashes," Esparza said.

The urn is unusually designed in a tear-drop shape and is red. Police provided a photograph of an urn that has a similar design.

Anyone with information about the burglary, ortthe urn, should call the San Francisco Police Department at (415) 575-4444.
