Suspected “Can't Stop Won't Stop” Bandits Arrested By San Jose Police After Chase Through WIllow Glen

Two men nicknamed by police as the “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” bandits are behind bars.

San Jose police say surveillance video released Thursday shows one of the two who is believed to be responsible for 20 armed robberies in San Jose in the past few months.

The pair, identified as 25-year-old Jesus Escobar and 22-year-old Angel Rodriguez-Leaon, allegedly entered liquor stores and small markets with guns drawn, demanding cash, and sometimes firing off warning shots.

On Feb. 28, the suspects led police on a lengthy chase through the Willow Glen area of San Jose before officers finally caught up with them.

News of the suspected robbers behind bars came as a sigh of relief to Balbir Singh, who believes his liquor store was the last place the pair allegedly robbed before getting caught.

"That's good," Singh said. "Good for everybody."

Police are asking anyone with information about Escobar or Rodriguez-Leaon to contact them at (408) 277-4116.
