San Jose Cop Pleads No Contest to Sex Acts With Boys From Craigslist

The men he met on Craigslist were boys.

A former San Jose police officer who served as the campus cop at a high school pleaded no contest to sex with two students, according to reports.

The former campus cop at Leland High in San Jose, Patrick D'Arrigo, 44, could be sentenced to up to three years in prison on April 30. He allegedly plied students with alcohol and then performed sex acts on them, all minors, at his Gilroy home, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

It all began after D'Arrigo answered a Craigslist ad in 2008, the newspaper reported. The poster of the ad was a 16-year old boy, according to reports, who introduced D'Arrigo to five students, who partied with D'Arrigo, watching movies and drinking rum and Cokes at his Gilroy home, the newspaper reported.

Two of the teens testified of a sexual encounter with the cop, and, afterward, receiving gift cards.

One of those students, 15 at the time, told the grand jury that he had oral sex with the officer on his couch while "very drunk," the time, the newspaper reported.

D'Arrigno resigned as a cop last month, but he'd been in trouble at work before: in 2008, he allegedly helped cover up a drunken driving crash concerning another cop, and was fired in 2009. He was reinstated in 2010.

He was arrested at work on Aug. 31, according to reports.
