Firefighters were battling a two-alarm fire at a residence near downtown San Jose on Friday afternoon, a fire dispatcher said.
Fire crews responded at 1:39 p.m. to a report of a fire in the 100 block of North Ninth Street, the dispatcher said.
No injuries have been reported, she said.
