San Jose Police Arrest Man on Suspicion of Fatally Stabbing Ex-Wife

San Jose police on Monday announced the arrest of a man who allegedly fatally stabbed his ex-wife last week.

Robbie Williams, 59, was arrested in connection with the stabbing, which was reported just before 5 p.m. Thursday inside a home in the 3800 block of Canyon Ridge Drive, according to police.

Officers arrived and found the victim, later identified as 64-year-old Patricia Hairston, suffering from at least one stab wound. Hairston was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

Police located Williams at the scene of the stabbing and took him into custody without incident. He was identified as Hairston's ex-husband and was booked into jail on suspicion of murder, police said.
