San Jose Police Department Asking for Help Finding Assault Suspect

The San Jose Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a person wanted in connection with a violent assault.

On May 6 at about 2:30 a.m., an unnamed person was attacked in the 5000 block of Almaden Expressway leaving that person unconscious, according to police reports.

No weapons were used in the attack and the person allegedly attacked the victim without being provoked, according to reports.

The suspect fled the scene and the victim was transported to a local hospital, treated and released. He is described as being a hispanic or African-American male with an athletic build, black hair and a short goatee.
